- Summary:
The test is done in a sealed chamber whose volume is 4.32 cubic meters. Adjust the flame height, then put the top of the flame under the specimens to burn for 15s, and then put out for 15s. Examine the sample’s burning situation after repeating doing this for 5 times. You can set the burning, fire-out and reply times freely.

◆ Effective space: 2.4(L)*1(W)*1.8(H) m. The whole test is done in a sealed chamber whose volume is 4.32 cubic meters.
◆ Suitable for UL1581, UL13, UL444, VW-1 of UL1655, and FT-1, FT-2 of CSA.
◆ Test chamber:
It uses the electrostatic spray paint outside and electrostatic roast black paint inside, who is rustproof and has a great looking.
There’s powerful ventilation exhaust system on the top, when test is finished, it’s opened together with the air supply system, which can exhaust waste air to the outside. This system is in sealed status during test.
There’s an air supply door in the behind. When test is finished, and ventilation exhaust system is opened, it will supply air into the chamber. It’s in sealed status during test.
There’s a sealed tempered glass observing window in the front, which is convenient for observing.
There’s a hole under the observing window which operator can put his hand and arm into the chamber. This hole is equipped with sealed gloves, operator can operate blowtorch with them.
◆ Temperature Measurement System:
Thermal sensor (Copper catheter and thermocouple) - Catheter should be high conductivity electrolytic copper, length: 19.14±0.02mm
K type thermocouple, equipped with stainless steel tube coat diameter of 0.5mm
Taiwan Taishi digital thermometer and British imported K type thermocouple are matched well, reading: ＞1000℃.
Measurement System: Movable, place it in the test chamber when need to measure temperature.
Equipped with an electronic stopwatch: Accurate to 0.1s (For spare use in measurement temperature calibration.)
Burning time: 0~999s, can be set.
Stop burning time: 0~999s, can be set.
Heat sensor adopts high rates of electrolytic copper.
Equipped with a imported thermocouple of Φ0.5, type K, whose shell is stainless steel.
The intelligent temperature controller is match with the K type thermocouple, indication can reach 1000℃.
Has the function of high-pressure automatic ignition.
Burning blowtorch: imported by HAM, America. Meet the requirements of ASTM D 5025-99.

Main clip: Test holder and burner
Test holder: Made of stainless steel, horizontal and vertical independent type, thress specifications: FT1, FT2 and VW-1. Vertical holder and burner’s plane is parallel to the observing window, which is convenient for observing and operation.

◆ Wedge frame: Add a wedge, intall the burner on the wedge, which if convenient for moving and also can move back to specified position accurately.

Back-pressure pipe: Water column’s height accurate to 5mm or less
Back-pressure liquid: Red oil or green oil.
◆ Timing system and burning time accumulative system: This test device provides burning timing, keep-burning timing and burning retardant timing three timing system.
Burning timing: When burning up burner reaches specified position, it will record burning tim automatically (according to the provisions set, eg: 15s). Operator need to observe the set time, when in the moment it reaches set time, operator need to turn the wedge quickly to move away the burner.
Keep-burning timing: When above-mentioned burning time reaches set value, this timer will start timing automatically. If in specified time (eg: stop supplying fire for 15s), burning sample’s fire is put out, then do the 2nd test as step one burning process.
Burning retardant timing: If within above-mentioned specified time, sample’s fire is not put out, then operator need to start another “Burning retardant timer” manually, and determine the test is failed.
